📘 Determiners — Rules & Examples

Determiner: A word that comes before a noun to make it clear, specific, or to show quantity/ownership.

Categories of Determiners

  • Articles: a, an, the
  • Demonstratives: this, that, these, those
  • Possessives: my, your, his, her, our, their
  • Quantifiers: some, any, many, much, few
  • Numbers: one, two, three…
  • Distributives: each, every, either, neither
  • Interrogatives: which, what, whose
  • Negatives: no, none

Golden Rule: A determiner always comes before a noun (never alone).
